Merlot produces a wine with a more or less intense ruby-red color, fruity aroma with notes of red flowers. Tannic and soft to the palate.
Mandrarossa wines produced from this variety
Mandrarossa’s Merlot Rupenera is a wine appreciated for its intense and persistent bouquet, with hints of plum, quince marmalade, Scotch broom and rosemary. Sapid and warm to the palate, with an aftertaste of licorice and notes of mulberry and wild asparagus. In the Cavadiserpe, where Merlot is blended at 70%, it gives the wine softness and its typical aromas of prune and plum marmalade.
