Chardonnay Laguna secca
With a marked minerality and persistence, the Mandrarossa Chardonnay is recognizable for its typical Mediterranean notes of prickly pear and orange peel. Named Laguna Secca after some of the soils in the territory, once covered by shallow lagoons that today are fertile and productive.

After cryomaceration at 5-8°C for 4/6 hours, the must ferments for 15/20 days at 16-18°C. Maturing for 4 months in steel vats.
Vineyards are stretched along south and south-east facing hills on medium-textured limeston soils

Espalier-grown and guyot-pruned, planting density is of 4000-4500 plants/ha.

With its persistence and pronounced mineral edge, our Chardonnay Mandrarossa is notable for its typically Mediterranean hints of prickly pear and orange rind. Laguna Secca takes its name from particular local soils in a terrain, which was once submerged in shallow lagoons, and is now fertile and productive.
